Literacy For Boys Pty Ltd (LFB) provides a range of online resources to assist children learn and improve their literacy outcomes.

 

Our resources include a Learning Management System as well as general website for client and prospective client information.

 

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your information and this policy explains how your information is collected, stored, used and disclosed by LFB.

When accessing our Website, LFB will learn certain information about you during your visit. How we will handle information we learn about you depends upon what you do when visiting our site.

 

If you visit our site to read or download information on our pages, we collect and store only the following information about you:

  • The name of the domain from which you access the Internet
  • The date and time you access our site
  • The Internet address of the website you used to link directly to our site.

 

If you identify yourself by sending us an e-mail containing personal information, then the information collected will be solely used to respond to your message.

When you provide information to us by way of signing on for a free trial or purchasing a subscription with us, sending an email or calling us we collect this information to assist with your existing and upcoming learning needs. This information may include:

This information is protected from misuse and disclosure through password protected access provided only to relevant staff at LFB.

When accessing your LMS, we only collect a minimum of information to access this service. This information could include:

  • Name
  • Position / Department / Cohort
  • Test Results
  • Course Completed
  • Upcoming Course

 

This information is used to enable the completion of reports and updates and are required to ensure all your learning needs are being met.  It is also used to tailor our communications to you, manage your child’s progress through the programs, and ensure we can better respond to your customer service requests.

 

All LFB email communications are in accordance with the Spam Act 2003. When you sign up for a free trial, you may receive promotional emails, to opt out of these email communications, you can click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the email.

 

Education records are only accessible to users who are logged in.  Students are only able to access their own progress.  Teachers can only view students from within their nominated class or cohort as agreed with the school at time of signing onto the program.

 

Student and teacher data can only be accessed by LFB staff and partners. Data is never shared with third parties without explicit permission.

 

The security, integrity and confidentiality of your information are extremely important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative and physical security measures that are designed to protect user information from unauthorised access, disclosure, use and modification. From time to time, we review our security procedures to consider appropriate new technology and methods. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
